Pierre Campana will make his World Rally Car debut on Rally Germany later this month in a Mini WRC and will have a further appearance on his home event, Rally France.
The Mini that Campana will drive will be run by Team Drive-Pro with support from Prodrive, which runs the works cars in the WRC, and French motorsport's governing body the FFSA.
"For me it's a great leap forward in my rally career and I cannot wait to begin this exciting new chapter," said Campana.
"It will be a big challenge but one which I am confident I can contest to a high level and with complete focus and motivation. To be driving a Mini WRC car is an incredible thought and I will do all I can to uphold the reputation of all these legendary brands.
"I am incredibly thankful to the FFSA and would also like to extend my thanks to Drive-Pro for giving me this opportunity."
Campana's main programme this year has been in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, in which he currently lies second in class for two-wheel drive cars.
He will have his first test in the Mini WRC at Ales-Cevennes in France on Thursday and will then take part in the Richard Burns Memorial Rally in Britain as a warm-up for the German world championship round.
