Eurotech bullish after Donington test

Date published : 27 May 2011 - 13:50:13

British Touring Car squad Eurotech Racing believes Andrew Jordan will be even more of a threat for the rest of the season after testing a new suspension package at Donington Park this week.Jordan currently lies fourth in the BTCC standings and has finished on the podium five times in the last six races in his Eurotech/Pirtek Vauxhall Vectra.Team boss Mike Jordan now believes the suspension changes, which include a different style of damper, will enable his son to challenge for more race wins."It was a very good test," he said. "I think we've made a significant step forward with the car."I don't think it'll change our qualifying pace, but it'll improve our race pace because it makes the car much softer on its front tyres."Jordan Sr confirmed that the development was part of an ongoing effort to improve the turbocharged Vectra throughout the season."It's easy to just fix things and have the same car at the end of the year you have at the start," he said. "But I've tasked my guys with going to every race meeting with a little improvement on the cars."
