Lloyd to miss Snetterton

Daniel Lloyd will miss this weekend's British Touring Car Championship round at Snetterton after failing to secure a budget to compete at the Norfolk circuit.The teenager made an impressive debut last time out at Croft with the Triple 8 Vauxhall squad, scoring a pair of points finishes.Lloyd said that while a deal to race at Silverstone later this month was a possibility, he was more likely to return to the series at Donington Park in September."Obviously I'd have loved to be able to continue the fantastic start I made to my BTCC career by racing at Snetterton this weekend," he said. "But we just weren't able to get the funding together."We're working incredibly hard though to get back out as soon as we can. The BTCC is where we want to be and as I think we showed at Croft, it's where we should be."Lloyd's announcement means that Triple 8 is set to run just a single car for James Nash, who confirmed that week that he would remain with the squad for the rest of the year.
