Ferrari changes engines for race
Ferrari has fitted new engines to both its cars prior to today's Bahrain Grand Prix.Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso had qualified second and third yesterday, but "abnormalities" were found in the engine data following the session.Although neither engine had failed - and both will be fit for use in practice sessions at other races - Ferrari preferred to err on the side of caution with a gruelling race in hot conditions ahead, so has changed the two V8s.Under the current rules, no engine change penalties are applied until drivers exceed their limit of eight engines for the season. So as these are Massa and Alonso's first new V8s of 2010, both drivers will be able to start from their qualifying positions rather than dropping back ten places.
