First free practice session at Monza: Fisichella’s debut

Monza, 11 September 2009 This morning Giancarlo Fisichella debuted in the F60, expected by the fans and the entire paddock in Monza. Giancarlo drove his installation lap at 10:05am and gained confidence with the F60 and the steering wheel with its buttons and switches over the first 90 minutes. On a sunny day with air temperatures of around 27° and a track temperature of 32°, the drivers went onto the track they like for its high speed and exciting chicanes. The Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro concluded its work of the first practice session with Giancarlo Fisichella driving the eighth fastest time in 1:24.732 and Kimi Raikkonen the tenth fastest in 1:24.761. Both drove 24 laps, while the fastest was driven by the McLarens with Hamilton (1:23.936), the only car faster than 1:24.000, and Kovalainen, followed by Adrien Sutil with Force India.
