Ian Phillips parts with Force India

Force India has announced that its long-serving director of business affairs Ian Phillips is leaving the team.Phillips has been the Silverstone-based squad's commercial boss since 1990, a year before it entered Formula 1 as Jordan Grand Prix.In his 19-year stint with the outfit in its various guises Jordan, Midland F1, Spyker and now Force India Phillips has been responsible for securing and managing sponsorship deals, signing over 50 drivers and handling negotiations with the FIA and commercial rights holder FOM.Force India thanked the popular paddock stalwart for his service and wished him every success in his future endeavours.
