Jenson Button is set to call time on his world championship winning Formula One career after declaring he will treat Sunday's season finale in Abu Dhabi as his last race in the sport.

Here, Press Association Sport takes a look at Button's career in numbers.

305 - Button will enter his 305th race when the lights go out in Sunday's Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

1 - Button secured his maiden championship in a fairytale season for Brawn GP back in 2009.

17 - The number of consecutive Formula One seasons Button has competed in.

20 - Button was just out of his teenage years when he started his grand prix career with Williams in 2000.

22 - The 22 on Button's car when he won the world championship for Brawn GP. He has also had it since drivers were allowed to pick their own numbers.

15 - Button has won 15 grands prix. His first was for BAR at the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2006. His last victory came in Brazil four years ago.

8 - The Englishman has recorded eight pole positions. It is also the same number of fastest laps he has posted in his career.

16 - The number of points Button has scored this season, 37 fewer than McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso has managed.

50- Button has made a half-century of appearances on the podium during his career.

36 - He is the second oldest driver on the grid behind Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen, 37.
