Jerez test will reveal more – Barrichello
Teams will be able to get a first true indication of where their new cars stand in the early 2010 pecking order at this week's Jerez test, reckons Rubens Barrichello. All seven teams in action at pre-season's opening group test in Valencia last week were keen to stress that it was too early to read much into the timesheets, given the varying fuel loads likely to be in play and the fact it was the first time they had run their respective challengers on track.A further three teams, including 2009 title runner-up Red Bull, join the fray from Wednesday for the first of eight days of testing over an 11-day period at Jerez ahead of the crunch fourth and final test at Barcelona before the first race later this month.Writing on his Twitter page on Monday, Williams driver Barrichello conceded that his former team Ferrari seems to have the upper hand so far judging by its domination at Valencia but thinks the picture will become clearer during the next few days. This week Jerez will give everyone a better idea who is really fast, the Brazilian wrote.Ferrari seemed better than [the] others but we have to wait.Meanwhile, Ferrari has confirmed it heads to Jerez needing to make only small mechanical tweaks to its impressive F10 following its clean sweep of fastest times last week. After getting his first run out in red on the final day in Valencia, Fernando Alonso will be behind the wheel on Wednesday and Thursday before team-mate Felipe Massa completes Ferrari's week's work on Friday and Saturday.Ferrari also says it is planning to run its second F10 chassis for the first time when the second week of Jerez testing kicks off on February 17.
