Massa Leaves Ferrari With A Tear In His Eye And An Engine For The Memories

Felipe Massa's Ferrari career finally came to an end after 8 years in which he nearly won the title in 2008 and now moves to Williams alongside Valtteri Bottas for the 2014 season.

He and Fernando Alonso both attended a christmas lunch at the Maranello factory in which Felipe was presented with the engine from his F2008 in which he challenged Lewis Hamilton up until the last race in 2008 and only lost out by a single point.

Massa, calling Stefano Dominicali his 'big brother' spoke of the teams support for him after his near fatal head injury at the Hungaroring GP in 2009 in which a part of the suspension from fellow brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello's Brawn hit him and caused a fractured skull.

"It's in these circumstances that one understands what it means to be really loved and the atmosphere at Ferrari and the unique feeling of being part of the family is something I will miss a lot," he says on the Ferrari website.

He did however state he wont miss playing 2nd fiddle to Fernando Alonso. "Thanks also to you Fer. We will meet again on track and this time I will try not to let you through,"
