Perez plans Force India fight-back

Sergio Perez believes his Force India team will mount a major fight-back in this weekend's German Grand prix, following a disappointing showing in Britain two weeks ago.

Perez said on Thursday that he thought the team's Silverstone struggles were only a temporary drop in form due to track conditions.

He told reporters: "I am confident we should be good here. I think it will be really good for the team to get back to our level.

"I think Silverstone just didn't suit our car and it went against all the weaknesses on our car. We have a really big car; it's very difficult to get it in the right window over the weekend.

"At Silverstone, even the test I did on Tuesday, the car was really inconsistent from one hour to another, which we suspect was the wind.

"It will be good to get back here and see if we can get back into our form, which will be good for the confidence of the team."

Force India were the slowest Mercedes-powered cars at Silverstone, both German Nico Hulkenberg and Mexican Perez struggling with the heavy crosswinds.

Perez finished 11th, but said on Thursday that he believes Hockenheim will be a more forgiving circuit for their car.
