Sutil condemns Renault

Adrian Sutil joined the stewards in condemning Renault's release of Robert Kubica as "definitely unsafe".
Chaos unfolded on lap 15 of Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix following the emergence of the safety car - where the majority of the drivers immediately dived into the pits for a change of tyres - with one of the incidents resulting in Kubica running into Sutil in his Force India. Kubica's lollipop man released the Pole too early just as Sutil was driving into his pit entry box.
"There wasn't anything I could do," said Sutil. "They released him into my path and I just crashed into him and my car was damaged too badly to continue. It was definitely unsafe from their part. A real shame as it's my first DNF since Australia, and even more disappointing as it wasn't our issue."
From Kubica's perspective, he was more disappointed to have missed out on a potential haul of points than expressing any sympathy for Sutil.
"I saw the lollipop go up and I started to go, but unfortunately we collided, forcing me to retire with damage to the front suspension," said Kubica.
"It would have been nice to have at least finished the race because there are so many Polish fans here.
"Looking at how the race evolved, we could probably have got a good result."
Kubica was initially able to return to the track, only to be handed a 10-second stop-go penalty for an unsafe release from the pits for which Renault were later fined 50,000 US dollars.
