Warwick joins stewards for Hungary

Derek Warwick will join the stewards' panel for this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. Warwick is the fourth British ex-grand prix driver to advise race officials this year, after former world champions Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell advised in Monaco and at Silverstone respectively, while grand prix winner Johnny Herbert also joined the panel in Malaysia and Turkey. Warwick competed in Formula 1 from 1981 to 1993, during which time he drove for Toleman, Brabham, Lotus, Arrows and Renault, with whom he nearly won the 1984 British Grand Prix. After winning the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1992, Warwick drove in the British Touring Car Championship, before co-founding the BTCC's highly successful Triple 8 team in 1997.
