Bernie Ecclestone's departure from the head of Formula One brings to an end his four-decade rule over the sport.

A new team will replace him and here, Press Association Sport looks at the three men tasked with taking F1 forward.

Chase Carey - Chairman and chief executive

A New Yorker, Carey is the new powerbroker in F1. A long-time friend and advisor of Rupert Murdoch, he is an ex-president and chief executive of DirecTV and the former co-chief operating officer of 21st Century Fox. He currently serves as the latter's vice-chairman.

Ross Brawn - Managing director, Motor Sports

Brawn has over 40 years of experience in engineering and management in motor sport and lists 11 world titles with Ferrari and seven with Williams and Benneton on his resume. He went on to win the title in 2009 with his own team, with Jenson Button the driver. He would later sell BrawnGP to Mercedes-Benz in 2010.

Sean Bratches - Managing director, commercial operations

Formerly the executive vice-president of sales and marketing at ESPN, Bratches has over 27 years of experience in the commercial sector. During his time with the network, Bratches was responsible for advertising on all platforms and content licensing.
