GPUpdateBratt moves ahead in second practice 1 July 2011Will Bratt was the man in charge at the end of day one in Germany, setting a time over one second quicker than Mikkel Mac's time from this morning. The Briton quickly adapted to the Nürburgring circuit amid changeable conditions and, with an afternoon effort of 1:50.024, he comfortably led Thiemo Storz and young hopeful Jordan King. Dry conditions encouraged plenty of track activity this afternoon, as the surface grip improved. Italy's Mirko Bortolotti was the final man to stay within one second of pace-setter Bratt, while championship rival Christoper Zanella completed the top five. Ramón Piñeiro was next to feature on the timing screens in sixth place, just in front of the experienced Mihai Marinescu. Johannes Theobald was eighth fastest once again, edging ahead of Jack Clarke and Miki Monrás who completed the top ten runners. A few spots of rain through the session failed to produce any major incidents, but Alex Brundle struggled for pace and could do no better than 18th. Saturday's Qualifying session begins at 9.45am local time (BST 1)
