GPUpdateBrundle to race with son this weekend 3 June 2011Formula 1 driver turned BBC lead commentator Martin Brundle will be teaming up with son Alex behind the wheel this weekend. With Alex currently a front-runner in Formula 2, the Norfolk duo will compete in a Radical UK Cup race on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit. Despite a disappointing start to the F2 campaign, Alex enjoyed a double podium result last time out at Magny-Cours. Fresh from his Monaco Grand Prix commentary on Sunday, Brundle Sr. will join his 20-year-old son by taking turns in the cockpit in a race featuring mandatory driver changes. I have no complaints about racing alongside my dad, as he is a former Grand Prix driver,? Alex commented. We work well together in the car, so I'm really looking forward to it. This race will be my dad's first on the Grand Prix circuit since the 1980s, so I think I will be giving him my information and notes, rather than him giving me pointers. There are usually some quick peddlers in the Radical UK Cup so I'm relishing the challenge. There is going to be a big grid, which should provide some great racing.?
