Formula 2 news Clarke to remain in Formula 226 February 2010Britain's Jack Clarke will continue to race in the Formula 2 series this year, championship organisers announced on Friday. Among a number of rookie drivers announced earlier this week, Clarke will also compete against Armaan Ebrahim for a second consecutive year.
Clarke's return to Formula Two follows a promising maiden campaign in 2009, where the Briton scored points finishes at Spa-Francorchamps and Oschersleben. Jack Clarke commented on the announcement: "I am delighted to be returning to Formula Two and I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the experience I gained in the first season. I have a lot of mileage and knowledge of the car and operation, and I feel this will certainly help. "I am aiming for podiums and wins - last season I had less experience than the majority of drivers but now I expect to hit the ground running as I look to carry good momentum into my second campaign. It is a big boost to see Andy Soucek get a Formula One deal and I wouldn't mind being where he is this time next year. It is a credit to him and the championship, and hopefully I will be that person to take the title and the F1 test in 2010."
