GPUpdateDe Marco hoping for more of the same at Brno28 July 2010Nicola de Marco heads to Brno after enjoying one of his strongest weekends of the year in the Czech Republic twelve months ago. Prior to this year's races, the Italian is placed a self-confessed disappointing 12th in the Formula 2 standings. In 2009, Marco enjoyed pole position at Brno before leading in Race 1 and then picking up his maiden F2 podium in Race 2. Last year, even though it was only the second event of the season, I ran very well at Brno, he said. I like the track and I want to finish what I missed out on by a whisker last year and win! I've scored points in the last four races but I think that I was the only one to go out four times in a row at Marrakech and Monza! Therefore, in terms of my situation in the championship, it's not looking all that rosy. "However, I'm very confident about the latter part of the championship and I want to make sure it's understood how much I'm worth in a season that has been difficult for me. Brno 2009: De Marco leads the pack at the start of Race 1With 12 rounds down and six to go in 2010, Nicola now aims for three clean events at Brno, Oschersleben and Valencia. I think that this year's bad luck is over...or at least I hope so! he laughed. My aim is to get into the top five of the championship; clearly it's not what I hoped for when I started, given that the main objective was to win, but now there's no point crying about it - this is the situation and I need to roll up my shirt sleeves and finish the season well. More news28 Jul 2010F2 De Marco hoping for more of the same at Brno22 Jul 2010F2 Chandhok impressed with compatriots' performances19 Jul 2010F2 Henry Surtees: One year on18 Jul 2010F2 Photos: Sunday at Brands HatchF2 Eng takes third win of the season at Brands Hatch17 Jul 2010F2 Photos: Saturday at Brands HatchF2 Vasiliauskas claims pole for second raceF2 Stoneman dominates first race at Brands Hatch16 Jul 2010F2 Stoneman claims pole for first Brands Hatch raceF2 Photos: Friday at Brands HatchF2 Stoneman still on top in second practiceF2 Stoneman fastest in first Brands practice15 Jul 2010F2 Snoeks to miss Brands Hatch13 Jul 2010F2 Palmer heads Brands Hatch test04 Jul 2010F2 Stoneman wins second race at PortimãoF2 Palmer takes pole position for second race03 Jul 2010F2 Palmer takes commanding win at PortimãoF2 Palmar denies Bailly's pole02 Jul 2010F2 Benjamin Bailly sets early Portimão paceF2 Clarke: I've wiped the slate clean25 Jun 2010F2 Race winner Bailly remaining modest20 Jun 2010F2 Bailly converts pole position into first race winF2 Bailly claims maiden pole in front of home crowd19 Jun 2010F2 Stoneman claims commanding Zolder victory18 Jun 2010F2 Stoneman grabs pole at ZolderF2 Bailly fastest in second practiceF2 Stoneman fastest in opening practice16 Jun 2010F2 Eng confidence up after Tuesday testF2 Eng finishes Zolder test on top11 Jun 2010F1 F1 routine harder than expected for Soucek24 May 2010F2 Photos: Sunday at Monza23 May 2010F2 Palmer also the best on Sunday afternoon22 May 2010F2 Palmer takes second pole of the weekendF2 Photos: Saturday at MonzaF2 Palmer wins exciting first race at Monza21 May 2010F2 Photos: Friday at MonzaMore newsFormula 2: Czech Republic 201028 JulDe Marco hoping for more of the same at BrnoNicola de Marco21 MayDe Marco quickest at end of Monza practice13 MarDe Marco returns for second season31 Oct '09De Marco penalised ahead of Race 118 Sep '09De Marco quickest at home13 Jan '09Da Marco added to Formula Two line-upFormula 222 JulChandhok impressed with compatriots' performances19 JulHenry Surtees: One year on18 JulPhotos: Sunday at Brands Hatch18 JulEng takes third win of the season at Brands Hatch17 JulPhotos: Saturday at Brands Hatch PhotosNicola de Marco More Nicola de Marco photos Formula 2 More Formula 2 photos Silver SurfersAccording to the last UK census, there are now more people aged over 60 than under 16, and over one million people aged 85 or more.© 1998-2010 GPUpdate.net | Privacy notice
