Hancock: Title or nothing

Formula 2 news Hancock: Title or nothing11 March 2010With Jack Clarke and Jolyon Palmer already lined up to be representing Great Britain on the Formula 2 grid this year, Ollie Hancock is another man aiming for a full-time place after contesting the final three rounds of the 2009 season. On top of that, the Englishman targets the title this year. Having finished in the top ten on his first outing at Oschersleben last year, Hancock is confident in his abilities to seal a full-time race seat this season. "I want to come back to F2 for a title attack," Hancock began. "It's the title or nothing for me this year - this is the logical step for me as it gives me a chance to reach Formula 1. Soucek made it possible and I'm only out to do the same, nothing less." '100 per cent committed' to F2 for 2010, Ollie is highly motivated by the reigning Champion's 2009 campaign. "Look at Soucek - he pretty much blew everyone away in F2 last year in equal equipment and he then performed really well when testing in F1," Hancock recalled. "He didn't have that opportunity when he was in GP2 because if you're not running with one of the top teams you don't have a chance - it's as simple as that; it's the same problem in Formula Renault 3.5 but in F2 everything is equal and that is great."
