Romanian driver Mihai Marinescu made steady progress after a top five finish this morning, ending up third fastest.
Britain's Jack Clarke led the way out of his three fellow compatriots, heading an extremely close six-car train. The Effingham-born man's time was just 0.191 seconds ahead of ninth place man Benjamin Lariche, but strong enough to claim fourth, highlighting the competitiveness of the field prior to Saturday's first qualifying session. Ramón Piñeiro was next up in fifth place, while Tobias Hegewald completed the top six.
Jordan King delivered another strong practice performance in seventh, narrowly outpacing Miki Monrás and Benjamin Lariche. Thiemo Storz finished the session tenth, while Alex Brundle featured down in 19th after his running was limited to just three laps.
