Formula Two news Soucek hosts VIP party in Madrid 17 November 2009Champion Andy Soucek celebrated his title win in Spanish capital Madrid at the weekend, with over 200 people invited to a special VIP get-together in the five-star Mirasierra Suites Hotel. With Soucek having picked up the crown at Imola back in September, the Spaniard celebrated in style in his home country as a selection of invitees arrived, including sponsor representatives and Andy's family members, with Soucek himself being welcome onto the stage by well-known Spanish motorsport presenter Manu Carreño. Soucek's car was transported to Madrid for the party"I hadn't really had a chance to celebrate since winning the championship," Soucek explained, with all present having watched a highlight video of the season. "I had been planning this night for a long time. Jonathan (Palmer, Chief Executive of Motorsport Vision) was really great in letting me take my F2 championship-winning car down to the event and I really appreciate it."The party got me a lot of exposure, with sports and fashion media, and with live music and the video of my season it really was a fantastic occasion." Andy is now looking forward to his upcoming Formula One test with Williams, received as a reward for collecting the F2 title."
