Formula 2 news Stoneman finishes Snetterton Wednesday on top07 April 2010 / Results / PhotosHaving set the quickest lap time in the morning session at Snetterton, Dean Stoneman remained at the top of the collective timesheets as proceedings came to a close in Norfolk. The 19-year-old's best effort of 58.535 seconds was not beaten in the afternoon although Sergey Afanasiev and Jolyon Palmer both finished the day within a tenth of the leading time.
On a dry day at Snetterton, Stoneman registered his time during the morning and, although that quickest is usually bettered in the afternoon, the British driver remained on P1 despite challenges from Russia's Afanasiev and England's Palmer, who were just 66 and 99 thousandths down, respectively. Johan Jokinen was next up ahead of Armaan Ebraham, back in F2 for a second season, as Tom Gladdis finished the day just under four tenths off the pace and inside the top six. Mihai Marinescu, Paul Rees, Jack Clarke and Benjamin Bailly complete the top ten. The first rounds of the 2010 season will commence at Silverstone next Sunday
