Juncadella completes Prema rout

Daniel Juncadella completed a perfect weekend for Prema Powerteam at the Nurburgring by winning the third and final race at the German circuit on Sunday morning.The polesitter held onto his advantage at the start as his championship-leading team-mate Roberto Merhi outsprinted Nigel Melker to move into second place.As the race wore on and the pair established an 18-second advantage over the rest of the field, Merhi looked set to settled for second place, but that all changed as tyre wear came into the equation over the final six laps. Merhi closed to within a few yards of his Spanish countryman, but despite twice getting a run on him exiting Turn 1, he could not get close enough to overtake.Juncadella therefore took his fourth victory of the year in his Dallara-Mercedes and moved up to second place in the championship as a result - 64 points behind Merhi.There was a brief battle for the final podium position between Mucke Motorsport team-mates Melker and Felix Rosenqvist. The Swede took third on lap 13, but then ran wide at Turn 3 two laps later, enabling Melker to retake the position into the following corner as he squeezed his team-mate against the inside kerb. Such was Rosenqvist's lost momentum that Signature driver Laurens Vanthoor also managed to pass him into the hairpin that followed, but Rosenqvist re-took the position into the first corner on lap 18.Vanthoor's team-mates Marco Wittmann, Daniel Abt and Carlos Munoz were next up, with Gianmarco Raimondo (Prema) and Jimmy Eriksson (Motopark) completing the points scorers.Results - 29 laps:Pos Driver Team/Car Time/Gap 1.
