New Audi set to run in June

Audi's 2012 DTM machine could run as early as next month, according to head of Audi Sport Dr Wolfgang Ullrich. Heavily-revised technical regulations for next year mean that Audi and Mercedes, plus returning entrant BMW, are all building new machines that will feature spec carbon chassis, reduced aero levels and improved side-impact protection. "The planning is that in the middle of the year, we should have the car up and running," Ullrich told AUTOSPORT. "It should be at the end of June."
