Tomczyk's second place in doubt

Martin Tomczyk's second place finish in the DTM race at Valencia is in doubt due to a potential issue with one of the sets of tyres used by the German during the race.The results from Sunday's race, where Tomczyk climbed from ninth on the grid to take second behind his Abt Sportsline team-mate Mattias Ekstrom, remain provisional while officials investigate the matter further.It is understood that Tomczyk used a set of tyres that were not part of his race allocation.The stewards have discussed the matter with Audi, and must now decide if they are going to issue a penalty to Tomczyk.
