Date published : 06 Mar 2010 - 19:03:53

ORECA has unveiled the livery its Peugeot 908 HDi FAP will carry this year, ahead of the car's public debut in the Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard tomorrow. The French squad has secured the customer Peugeot LMP1 deal for 2010 and will run its 908 in the full LMS and the Le Mans 24 Hours.Olivier Panis and Nicolas Lapierre will drive the car for the full season, with Loic Duval joining them at Ricard and Le Mans.ORECA's traditional red, yellow and blue sportscar livery has been adapted for the 908."The team has retained its own visual identity in the spirit of the Dutch painter, Piet Mondrian, a pioneer in the field of abstract art," said an ORECA statement."While the overall concept is in keeping with the visual identity, Hugues de Chaunac's men wanted to innovate by modernising it, and came up with a graphic evolution based around the chrome roof for this livery, which provides an interpretation of Mondrian's work worthy of the 21st century."
