Britain's Cal Crutchlow claimed his maiden MotoGP victory, dominating in the rain at the Czech Republic Grand Prix.

Seven-time champion Valentino Rossi finished second with championship leader Marc Marquez third.

Coventry-born Crutchlow had to work through the field after starting 10th on the grid, but took the lead with seven laps left.

Spain's Marquez now leads the championship standings by 53 points, while Crutchlow has moved up to 10th place.

"It's the best day of my racing career," said Crutchlow.

"I'm really pleased for my team. We worked hard for this and I took the gamble.

"I'm so pleased for the team. I smashed the bike yesterday and they didn't leave the circuit last night until midnight, so this was a good way to repay them today."
