Suzuki unveils revised livery for 2010

Date published : 12 Mar 2010 - 10:14:06

Suzuki has unveiled the new livery that its GSV-R will carry in the 2010 MotoGP championship. The team has retained its traditional Rizla backing, but has altered the colour scheme to a new design inspired by revered motorsport helmet and racing clothing designer Troy Lee's studio.Loris Capirossi is staying on at Suzuki for a third season, and is joined by 250cc graduate Alvaro Bautista, with Chris Vermeulen returning to Superbikes after four years in Suzuki's factory MotoGP line-up.Suzuki made a strong start to last year's campaign but then faded to a distant fourth in the constructors' championship, as neither rider was able to get on the podium in 2009.But the squad is optimistic that its latest GSV-R will be a more competitive proposition."It has been developed for the 2010 season with a focus of improved acceleration as well as increased durability to coincide with the new engine restrictions that will be implemented into this year's championship," said a Suzuki statement. "Improvements to aerodynamics, chassis performance and electronic systems go to make this the most technically advanced racing motorcycle that the Suzuki factory has ever produced."
