Boardman to return for Brands

Tom Boardman will return to the World Touring Car Championship for a one-off appearance at Brands Hatch next weekend.The 26-year-old Briton will race a petrol-powered SEAT Leon, run by his family's Special Tuning UK organisation and entered under the SUNRED Engineering banner.Under a similar arrangement Boardman, won his class at Brands Hatch last year on his way to fifth in the independents' standings and he is delighted to be back."It's great to get the opportunity to race on the [Brands Hatch] grand prix circuit again this year, and for it to be in the WTCC just makes it that little bit more special," he said.Boardman is competing in the BTCC with Special Tuning UK this year and currently lies 11th in the championship.His inclusion at Brands Hatch means that five British drivers will now take part. Rob Huff, Andy Priaulx, Harry Vaulkhard and Colin Turkington are the others.
