Kristian Poulsen has been given a five-place grid penalty for the next round of the World Touring Car Championship at Oschersleben after causing a collision with Norbert Michelisz in race two at Donington Park.
Race stewards decided that the Engstler BMW driver was guilty of spinning around Michelisz's similar Zengo-Dension car at Goddard's before the pair then collided head-on.
Poulsen was not the only driver punished at Donington; former world champion Gabriele Tarquini was reprimanded for making contact with Colin Turkington in both races while Yvan Muller was given a suspended grid penalty after hitting his Chevrolet team-mate Rob Huff in race two.
The most heavily-penalised driver however was Proteam BMW man Fabio Fabiani, who was disqualified from race one for breaching parc ferme conditions and then excluded from the later race due to irregularities with his fuel sample.
