Perez hopeful of new Force India deal

Mexican Sergio Perez expects to stay with Force India next season and hopes that a deal for 2015 is announced in the next month.

Perez joined Force India this year after losing his drive at McLaren.

On the eve of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix on Thursday, Perez said: "Nothing confirmed yet, but we should be sorted for next year in the next couple of weeks and then let's see.

"On my side, it's a bit early to confirm anything, but I expect things are going to move on very quickly."

After his experience at McLaren, where he found out he would not be driving for the team in 2014 very late in the 2013 season, he said he did not want to tempt fate.

"You've seen in the past that anything can happen. I don't want to confirm anything before we sign.

"Everything was pretty much there and it changed pretty quickly, so nothing is confirmed yet."

Perez said he is confident Force India can finish ahead of McLaren in this year's constructors' championship.

"We must stay ahead of them and we can," he said. "If you've seen the last couple of races, we have been really unlucky.

"Obviously I did a mistake in the last race and we lost some points -- but mainly it has been other factors that hopefully we can clear and I see no reason why we can't stay ahead of them."
