Built in 1962 by Honda, the Suzuka International Racing Course is the present venue for the F1 Japanese Grand Prix. The circuit has an unusual figure 8 layout, the track is an enjoyable one for fans and drivers and also one of the oldest. The Grand Prix circuit is 5.8 km long and has 17 turns. The circuit is also hosts Suzuka 8 hours, WTCC, Super GT, Super Formula, MJF Superbike, D1 Grand Prix and Super Taikyu events.

The circuit was designed by Dutchman John "Hans" Hugenholtz and has been modified three times, mostly to improve safety.
