The Sochi Autodrom is the venue for this week's Russian Grand Prix.

Here, Press Association Sport has compiled a list of the best trivia and statistics heading into the fourth round of the season.

* Nico Rosberg has won six successive races - a streak which stretches back to November's Mexican Grand Prix. Only Michael Schumacher (seven) and Alberto Ascari and Sebastian Vettel (both nine) can claim to have won more consecutive grands prix.

* Rosberg is already 36 points ahead of Lewis Hamilton in the championship after winning the first three rounds of the championship - a feat not matched since Michael Schumacher won the opening five races for Ferrari in 2004.

* It is also the 10th occasion in Formula One history that a driver has started the season with a hat-trick of victories. and on the previous nine times, they have gone on to win the championship.

* One unwanted record for Rosberg however, is that of winning most races without being a world champion. His victory in China moved him on to 17 victories - one clear of Sir Stirling Moss. Briton's Nigel Mansell became world champion shortly after his 29th win.

* Hamilton may have endured a luckless start to the season, but he arrives in Sochi as the only driver to have ever won here with back-to-back victories in 2014 and 2015.

* The Russian venue has also been the scene for Mercedes celebrating their past two constructor triumphs. The race had been staged in October since its inception, but it has been brought forward to May to coincide with a Russian national holiday.

* Three of the four engine manufacturers were present on the podium in China, with Mercedes winning, Ferrari second, and Renault, backing Red Bull, third. This is only the second time this has happened in the hybrid era.

* The Sochi Autodrom is the newest venue to join the F1 calendar, with the track winding its way through the site that hosted the Winter Olympics.

*At 5.853km in length, it is the third longest circuit on the current calendar behind Silverstone (5.891km) and Spa (7.004km).
